Freezing on every game!!! help

hi,

i have got a second 360 and it keeps freezing on every game i put in and try,
the time is different between when it freezes sometimes it is when its loading and sometimes you can play for a couple of minutes before it freezes.

i have rang xbox and they wont fix it because im the second owner unless i pay between £70 and £90!!!!

could it be the start of the ring of death? if so i can do that myself but i dont want to strip it all and do that to find out its something else, could it be the lens or the drive itself? is there any way to find out??

My fallout 3 game keeps freezing in rivet city i dont really wanna start again because im quite a high level ive checked online and it says try clearing my cache for fallout 3 how do i do that and will that stop it?

ye halo is my fav game and assassins creed is amazing but im yet to complete due to its repetivness is that a word?

Don't leave the CD in the xbox once your done playing. NEVER move the xbox when the cd is in. Depends what position the xbox is in.While doing these might xbox will not be freeze.Second would get a new xbox and use your warranty.
